long overdue post: the prenup pictures

So here is my long overdue post: the prenup pictures.

I will be honest here, we were actually hesitant to post the pictures before the wedding because we didn’t want to spoil the surprise.

So it is only now. For that I am sorry.

(Of course, I did not post all of them…I just pick out a few to share. * I wouldn’t want to bore you guys.)

All these were shot by the incredibly talented team of photographers and also our friends from RealityBox. They are responsible for all the wonderful photos, despite all the troubles we met (Traffic, rain, angry/really nosy guards, uncooperative mob of people…etc.) looking at the photos, you would never have thought we were faced with obstacles.

~want to know more about RealityBox? I will talk more about them in another post. I still have to let you see my wedding photos.  *Winks!

So here are our Prenup/Pre-wedding photos!

We used this photo for our save the date and also for the photobooth!

We used this photo for our save the date and also for the photobooth!

We veered away from the usual garden prenups, and went for something dark, dramatic and edgy but still romantic because we also got locations that have been a part of our story. Inspired by a mix of Gossip Girl, Wong Kar Wai’s – In the mood for love, and Mafia. Yes we are kind of eclectic.

These were shot at Salon De Ning of Manila Peninsula.

Next are from Ayala Triangle Garden and Makati Stock Exchange. (The place where the proposal happened.)

see the fog effect on the left photo?! It is not photoshopped! The camera lens fogged up due to the changing temperatures, our photographer used the fog to create the ethereal shot!

Day one is done! Day two features the picturesque University of Santo Tomas – our Alma mater.

*I am from CFAD, Kei is the one from Arki. – the day of the shoot, outside the beato angelico bldg was teeming with ROTC cadets. So we only have a photo of the Arki signage.

it was drizzling when we shot these

**people could not let us be… besides the ROTC cadets the day of the shoot, we also have to be with all the many UST hopefuls – they came to take the entrance exam that day!!! We went to the Med Bldg area where there is less people to take some more pictures and it rained! So we just took cover and  waited till it turned dark.

ust parting shot

Its a wrap! these are the last two shots at UST.

My Makeup artist is Krist Bansuelo for the Salon de Ning, Ayala Triangle and Makati Stock Exchange set of photos. The UST pictures were done by Katchie Mejias. *Yes, my make-up was done by two different makeup artists, because my shoot took two days to complete (due to the different location and concept).

Styling are all done by myself. As for my clothes, you probably know about all my dress adventures in this past post. Of course I had help from my mum, sister, best friend Joanna and my long lost but now found childhood friend Eds. I couldn’t have done it all without them.

  3. Aww one of the best saka galanteng prenup pictures na nakita ko. Hindi yung kagaya ng iba na basta may mapicture na lang. Sobrang ganda! saka ramdam ko yung pagiging relevant nung place. Yung parang merong memories talaga.

  6. Hi Kapwa Tomasino! Congrats!!! Your photos are lovely! I’ll just ask the procedures on asking a permit to shoot in Ayala Triangle and UST as well. Thank yo so much in advance!

    • Hello Cindy!
Happy to “meet” another Thomasian! Tigers rah! =)

For the Ayala Triangle garden we went to the place and asked the guards about the permit, got a number, called that number then we were asked to write a letter (e-mail) stating the reason, date and time after two weeks they sent out a reply and the permit -print it out et viola permit. I strongly advice you do this early as possible because they take a while to reply. *tip: kulitin mo sila. every three days tawag kami -And the guards ng ayala triangle can be really annoying. mayat maya sila lumalapit on the day of the shoot! (Same goes for UST guards.)

For UST- they only allow shoots on a Sunday. If both of you are Thomasians you get to shoot for free! but only on the schoolgrounds-inside buildings like inside the main bldg. (grand staircase) is not allowed. -alala ko to kasi gusto ko ng grand staircase na photo! bawal na daw because some couples destroyed school property while taking their prenup inside the school bldgs. (kainis lang) To get a permit, call UST. They would then tell you whom (a rector surely, pero nagpapalit palit kasi so, better call them up) to address the letter to secure a permit. On the letter you both would need to write the date, time, student number/batch/course etc.basically nagpapakilala ka na talagang taga doon ka. Next you two will got to ust to deliver your letter and meet the rector. -formality lang. You will then get your permit. -mga half day kami naghintay for this. On the day of the shoot remember na strict yung guards and they really read your permit so if ang sinulat mo doon sa letter ay 1-4pm talagang pagdating ng 4pm kukunin na nila sa iyo yung permit mo. From our experience better schedule the shoot ng hapon to night (less people at hindi mainit) and if possible bring a car para you can store your things/dresses so that hindi ka hirap at you can open the ac para hindi natutunaw ang makeup. lastly, bring extension cord. -Iisa lang yung cr na open to the public sa ust and wala silang spare na outlet.
      enjoy the prenup shoot!

      • Hello.. Pwede ba namin mahingi ang contact number or email for the Ayala triangle so that we can also get permit please? thank you so much. -Michele

      • Pammy im an ofw, cannot go to pinas sooner. Do you still have the ayala triangle number/email so I can contact them?

        Thanks
        Michele

  7. better call or email: Mitch Hernandez-Suarez of Corporate Marketing and Sales Group Ayala Land, Inc.

  8. Hi Pammy, we were asked by Mitch Suarez of Ayalaland to pay 10k fee for the photoshoot in Ayala Triangle for 8 hours. Did you pay din ba when you had your pre-nup shoot?

    • Hello Regine!
I believe that we may have different situations regarding the prenup… ngayon kasi mas madami nang equipment ang photogs e. We had our shoot 2 years ago, so medyo matagal na di natin masabi baka nagbago na sila ng rules.
We got it for free, only 1 photographers using only dslr camera and two assistants holding handheld flash and no cranes/camera dolly/huge flash/drone and we only asked to use the place for 2 hours. Maybe they charged because of the amount of time you will be spending there.
Best of luck and enjoy the prenup.
      -Pam

  9. Hi! Your photos look amazing! May I ask how much was the cost to shoot the prenup at Manila Peninsula please?
