Remember the vinca sprouts I posted a while back? It has now grown and producing flowers!
To think it only came from a seed packet in the supermarket! (last September!) The zinnas did not make it though. I got them to sprout but they did not continue to grow and they just gave up. Maybe it does not suit the temperature in my area.
I am quite happy with the way the my seed packet vincas turned out – it is smaller than the usual magenta colored vincas I usually see at gardens all around the metro. My only gripe is that on the seed packet it was labeled mixed – I thought I would get different colored flowers, but what we got is all white with a pink center. If not for the pink center, it looks a lot like my sampaguitas.
Maybe I need to get more vinca seed packets to grow, in hopes for getting another color no?
