Let me count this  weeks joys:

1.) Kei and I met our friends/role models, Atchie Clarisse and Ahya Paul over halo halo! They gave us brownies and owls goodies! Plus life advice! Much thanks!

2.) Finally got new nail clippers for the rabbits my furbabies at home. We got this from Daiso at 88php!

3.) Chatted with my cousin Jackie from the USA. She learned that I collect owls and sent me these two cuties to add to my growing owl family! I miss her and our random bonding moments + my super hyper little nephew.

4.) Getting to and from work safely on the day the typhoon hit.

5.) Laughing every morning listening to The Morning Rush. Positivity to start the day.

Enjoy the weekend everyone!

replacing buttons

Last Saturday, I tried my hand in repairing/upgrading two of my clothes. (Saturday’s post is here

These are the clothes that needs new buttons. The abused, comfy, fave blue nautical sleeveless one lost one of its buttons and the lilac shirt dress we got on sale with the awful pearl-ish buttons (they have to go!). *I sort of dislike pearls, for me pearls are for the more mature group… but that’s just my opinion*

My project -the before shot

Got all my materials from Michelle’s located in Tutuban Mall in Divisoria. (They sell their buttons by the dozen and the place is a crafter’s wonderland.. full of beads, buttons, ribbons, lace, etc. But, as with most crafting stores, the storekeepers are hardly any help at all.)

Then I went to work. Sewing felt therapeutic for me. I chatted with my sister while D.I.Y.-ing the clothes. Till I have attached the last button. I am quite happy to have restored the blue nautical sleeveless shirt using the plain white buttons. The lilac shirt dress also looked better with the berry colored flower buttons! *looks more age appropriate for me! hahahaha!*’

finished project -new buttons!

I am pleased with how the project turned out, wearable clothes again! Also happy to have spent time with my sister. Not bad for someone who almost flunked Home Economics.

While writing this, I am wearing the comfy blue one right now.

thankful friday

It is Friday again!

thankful

And today I am thankful for:

1.) The past year. 2013 is the year Kei and I did not quarrel.

2.) The random chat messages from my bestie. Be it about our early morning commute, lipstick shades, what we want to do, where to go etc… Those seemingly little chats makes my day brighter.

3.) Teeth alignment shows more improvement. Thank you braces! Thank you dentist!

4.) I was told that the store I designed did well last month. That really made my day! Hoping for more projects this year.

5.) My devotional last night. (Sharing this in case some one needs a little reminding like I do.)
