summer splurge

Just wanted to say: I am not an influencer, nor a style blogger. I just happen to love clothes.

I caved in and spent wayyy too much at the recently concluded preview events of Plains and Prints.

Two bags full -One for each preview event I went to.

I went to both previews in Shangri-la and in Trinoma. This time I went overboard and ended up with three dresses, a top and shorts.

* I usually get a just a dress or two- if budget permits.

** But then again, I tend to wear my clothes over and over so its ok. Plus, since it is a preview, I technically get to wear these dresses before they go mainstream. So these were the reasons I tell myself to justify the splurge.  Sorry I’m rambling.

So, here is what  I got.

Blue berries dress

The Blueberries dress that I had my eye on since I saw it at the store catalog. It looks like a blouse and skirt combo, but is really a dress! Since I have a penchant for blue, and the fit is good…this is now on my closet. I also really liked that it has sleeves, because my closet is almost dominated by sleeveless dresses so this is a good variation. Added bonus, it has pockets!

A surprise find on the store was this playful, millenial pink dress named Beverlee.

Loving the print on this one! -Its a cute illustrated map.

I really dig the print of this one, it also has pockets! Sold.

Those were the two I got on the first event. But, I knew I have to go back because I am having buyer’s remorse about not getting a top and short that I tried on the store. *I tried quite a lot of dresses. But in the end, I just have to get what fits me well and what I really liked.

So, I went to the next preview and got this top for myself.

This was the reason I went back. Byanca top with quarter sleeves and succulent print.

I am sorry but I still can’t find a photo of the shorts I got. It is named Andreas -a light blue, scalloped hem, chambray shorts with a bow belt. – I really loved the relaxed fit of the shorts. To pair with the top pictured above.

As I was about to leave the store, I stopped by the counter to ask for the latest offerings/restock they had. They had me try on the Grapes dress -which I heard was one of the most requested dress in this summer release. -It was ok but, I guess its not for my body type. So it was a pass. That led me to try this one on. Because blue!

Constanze dress

I just had to try it. This dress was lighter than the other two dresses I got, it has no pockets but the fit was very flattering, I love the color. The print also has that fun tropical feel to it so, off to the bag it goes.

I guess I am done with my summer dress shopping for now.  Splurged on anything nice this summer? I’d love to know!

**All my reviews, opinions, and other stuff expressed here are my own and based on my own experience with the product. This is not a sponsored post, I paid for this (from) my own pocket. – The clothes posted here will soon be available in Plains and prints stores this summer season. Expect for the blue berries dress. They already have the dress in stores.

Heartfelt Reality

It is finally here! Our long awaited wedding and also prenup/pre-wedding photos.

finally here!

finally here!

These are what we got from the package we chose of course. Save for the prenup prints those were wedding gifts (Thank you very much!) from our friends at RealityBox. -The bunny is not included, it is one of our home decor.

*This was by far the most time consuming review post I have made. -and I mean this in a good way.  I have combed through 17gb of photos. That would be 1,141 prenup photos and a whooping 2,990 wedding photos and then choosing what to post here. Usually when I am choosing, I end up just viewing everything over and over and smiling all by myself like I am crazy. (this went on for about 10+ times, kaloka lang) So, that explains the long gap from my last post.

I sort of posted snippets  of our wedding and prenup through photos. This time Im going to tell you about the wonderful photographers who took the photos. – or you could say team RealityBox.

I got to know RealityBox through a friend’s wedding. *We were still in the wedding preparations at that time.* I liked how they did the on the day avp and bugged Kei to call them. Little did I know Kei is actually close friends of the founding duo of RealityBox (Jeri and Harry) and that we are all churchmates.

*for those asking we are all Anglican-Episcopals*

with our friends who also trusted RealityBox for their wedding.

with our church friends who also trusted RealityBox for their wedding.

Group photo (taken on the day of our wedding-on the reception venue) with Team RealityBox (first row)  –we saw RealityBox’s works though our friends Charles and Diana’s wedding (2nd row, couple leftmost), then there was me and Kei in the middle (still in 2nd row-front and center), to the rightmost was Randy and Wency -another couple-our friends too, that also booked them for their wedding)

A few days after our friends wedding we met up with RealityBox team and told them that we wanted them for our own wedding. –I saw their work and I loved it! Saka, iba na yung tried and tested diba? Discussed about details and they emailed us their rates. A quick phone call and a meet up after, we are booked!

The next time we got to meet them would be to discuss/plan our prenup shoot. Instead of a whole day for prenup, I requested to get a two part half-day prenup. One in Salon De Ning of Manila Peninsula for our glam set and one laidback set in UST. –for the simple reason that I don’t want to look haggard on photos! Arte ko lang. To which they agreed.

On the first day-Salon de Ning, Ayala Triangle shoot of our prenup shoot things went rather smooth. Save for the equipment scare we got. *the camera lens got fogged up due to the change in temperature when we left the hotel to shoot at the outdoor location.* But it ended well, team RealityBox even got “effect shots” out of the foggy lens.

see the fog effect on the left photo?! It is not photoshopped! The camera lens fogged up due to the changing temperatures, our photographer used the fog to create the ethereal shot!

see the fog effect on the left photo?! It is not photoshopped! The camera lens fogged up due to the changing temperatures, our photographer used the fog to create the ethereal shot!

The second day-the UST casual shoot, we were caught up with, it coincided with USTET that was a major setback in our shooting and the weather was not really cooperating that time. It runs in extremes: extremely hot and extremely wet. Major headache.  Not really the ideal shooting conditions but RealityBox stayed by our side. We went way past out shooting time. –inabot na kami ng gabi. See more of our prenup pictures in this post.

Straight out of a fairytale - UST at night

Straight out of a fairytale – UST at night

On both shoots we got a mix of different shooting conditions (indoor, outdoor, lowlight, overcast..etc) and troubles (weather, gear, traffic, crowd control…etc). Team Reality Box overcame all those obstacles and managed to bring out the best outcome possible.  –pakiramdam ko na-challenge sila ng bonggang bongga! Sorry Guys! We are really looking forward to the wedding day, knowing that our photography team rocks.

-We also asked them to refrain from posting any photos of our prenup so that it will be a surprise for our guests. Which they did. -ang tagal nilang naghintay ah.

they really waited. this was posted after the wedding

they really waited. this was posted the day after the wedding

As for the wedding day…*I prayed and stayed up all night before the wedding worrying about the next day (wedding day) as it was cloudy/rainy the day before the wedding. But despite all the prayers, you just cannot control mother nature.

It was really pouring that (whole) morning (no make that the whole day)! *sigh* so much for outdoor shots.  Again, we made do with what we have dealt with. With a heavy heart, I know that all we are getting are indoor shots. I just hoped for the best. –sa lahat ng araw…my goodness sa kasal ko pa talaga.

*RealityBox came knocking on my door early morning. I was a bit shocked by their number that day. There were 4 photographers, 4 videographers, 1 on site editor, plus 3 assistants. Basically they were 12 persons in their team. Full force.

I was actually feeling down due to the weather but the Reality Box photographers managed to make me smile and even laugh by talking to me (joking around), calmed me down by assisting other wedding suppliers, all the while shooting (posed and candid) pictures. I almost forgot that it was raining like there was a typhoon that day. But we cant do anything about the weather kaya carry on na lang.

the groomsmen

our dapper groomsmen

They went on shooting by teams, some were focused on Kei (groom) and another team on me (bride) then the others went to take pictures of the details and also lend out a helping hand to others. They also managed to get a sort of short interview from us that they used in our avp.

Our lovely bridesmaids

Our lovely bridesmaids

On the way to the church, it was still pouring. There was no way to get photos of my entrance. Its either the camera/equipment get wet or no pictures. I was honestly worried for them. In that time, I am okay even if I don’t have photos of that moment as long as I am sure that their cameras are going to be fine. –Cameras are expensive! I mean I should take care of my suppliers the way they take care of me right?! *brides-to-be please take care of your wedding suppliers. Paying them does not give you the right to be bossy or to be insensitive. Also make sure that you have food and time to rest for all of your suppliers and their crew. They get hungry and tired too.

definitely pouring

really pouring…OMG! paki ingatan ang camera please.

Even with that difficult situation they still managed to take photos of me and my entrance even if it means their equipment gets wet. –That was a risky move. Pero sinugal talaga nila. Buwis buhay. For that I am grateful.

ready to walk

its time. -ready to walk

Due to the weather, we started late. The ceremony was supposed to be 3:00pm, we started close to 4:00. I was not expecting that half of our guests will not be able to come. But there were a lot of people in the church that got me as a surprise. I was so happy seeing that there are people who came despite the terrible weather that I walked down the aisle greeting everyone with smiles. *Kei told me that I took a long time walking down the aisle. I was more like greeting everyone down the aisle. so much for poise.*

RealityBox in Action

RealityBox in on the move. *see the four photographers?

guests managed to come!

people still came to be with us!-Thank the heavens!

Despite the delay everything went well.

we are married!

we are married!

Since we cant go outdoor, RealityBox managed to take wonderful shots of us indoor. Here is one of our group shot.

group photo after ceremony

our entourage

*And off we go to the hotel and get a few more pictures then run off to the reception. Together with half of the photographers.*

By the time we got to the reception, the other half of the RealityBox team were already at the reception venue. -that means no time wasted and more details captured.

reception!

reception!

The rain never ceased, but the ballroom was packed! The atmosphere of the event was so warm that was a sharp contrast to the rain outside.

At the reception, we had the usual cake cutting, toast, Chinese reception dinner, a couple’s game, speeches from our bestman and maid of honors, songs, we danced and had three avps (audio visual presentation) from RealityBox. One growing up, the prenup, and the wedding avp. *there was another “bonus” avp that they never got to show due to the time constraints. so technically we have four avps. -Its not an easy feat to create avps. Specially avps that made most of our guests ask us who created them. Safe to say they were impressed.

I only have nice words to say to the RealityBox team- those guys are insanely talented. We love them and they loved us back.

Thank you so much for being with us all throughout the journey.

We are happy that we got you guys as our photographers.

Our photos are beautiful because RealityBox made them so. Thank you.

*We enjoyed the experience with them so much that we are actually on their wait list for a photoshoot! (yes. we booked them again! that is how much we love them!) See you guys soon!

We clap. -A candid shot of us by RealityBox on as wedding guests on our friends wedding. See, even if this photo was a stolen shot RealityBox managed to make it look absolutely dreamy. In my opinion, the whole photography team of RealityBox deserves an applause.

5outof5We give them 6 out of 5! Exceeded our expectations.

As their tagline states ‘romance redefined’-They really did deliver. There is a quality or feeling of mystery, excitement, and remoteness from everyday life that is associated with love. As it is true romance is doing something special or unexpected for someone you love, even though you don’t have to, RealityBox did just that for us.

They weathered the sweltering heat, non-stop rain, unruly crowd and flood plus more. Managed to patiently accompany us despite the not so ideal situations and stuck with us even if at times we were the ones ready to give up. They held on for just one more shot. -Major overtime na kami and yet they never left our side or complained. They were steady and optimistic in every situation.

-If you think that they only did all of that because they were our friends, the answer is a huge fat NO. They climbed up a mountain even if they never did that before, just for a client. Outrageous. I know.

-Most are not aware but RealityBox has an advocacy for Out of School Youths. They share the gospel to OSYs, teach them photography and offer them part time jobs to help OSYs! how is that for paying it back?!  Supporting RealityBox also means supporting their ministry!-Told you these guys are awesome.

Best of all they are also reasonably priced. Get to know them and see more of their works- www.facebook.com/realitybox

see more of their videos here: https://vimeo.com/realitybox

*All my reviews, opinions, and other stuff expressed here are our own and based on our own experience. This is not a sponsored post, we paid for the photography package from our own pocket.

**I must also say all photos/most photos of my wedding related reviews posted here are taken by RealityBox. That explains why there are so little photos of them, because they are hard at work on that day.

regal in every way

Back when I was in the wedding preparation stage, I had one huge problem.

How was I going to dance when my wedding gown is constricting?!

Obvious Pammy answer: Get a dress made.

My friend from church recommended Aoui Regala.

Yes those are her creations and yes again that is Aoui. (photo taken from her facebook page)

Yes those are her creations and yes again that is Aoui. (photos taken from her facebook page)

Young, fresh and pretty! Ang friendly pa niya. promise.

I emailed her my peg and waited for a estimate.

Yes, I am aware that both my pegs are black. (left: A dress Carey Mulligan wore, right: A h&m dress) all photos are from the internet

Yes, I am aware that both my pegs are black. (left: A dress Carey Mulligan wore, right: A h&m dress) all photos are from the internet

What I want: a sleeveless bateau top with the high-low hem and the train. In blush pink with a bit of beading. Key words are: Structured and simple-nothing over the top with a bit of sparkle.

I set the date for appointment. But unknown to me, the days leading before the appointment Aoui’s daughter has been admitted at the hospital. And it was still unknown what the cause is.

So she is very worried and has to stay with her daughter at the hospital.

The day before the fitting I texted her to confirm and she told me her situation. I was worried for her (I am praying that it is a minor thing, and that her daughter is okay.) and also a bit worried about myself too-with my rigid 6 days a week work schedule, I don’t have much wiggle room in terms of schedule. (Will the dress be done on time?- I contacted Aoui early November and I need the dress before mid December. It’s a very rush job.)

I volunteered to go to the hospital to get measured, so that she wouldn’t have to leave her daughter’s side. But she refused and told me that she will still go to her atelier.

So after a quick hello she got my measurements in less than fifteen minutes.

After a few days Aoui told me that the cause of her daughter’s admission was respiratory tract infection and acute bronchitis.

Acute bronchitis is a clinical syndrome produced by inflammation of the trachea, bronchi, and bronchioles. In children, acute bronchitis usually occurs in association with viral respiratory tract infection. Acute bronchitis is rarely a primary bacterial infection in otherwise healthy children.- from www. medscape.com

And that her daughter is okay and recovering. I was very much relived to know that all is well. As well as gave me updates on the progress of the dress.

On the next fitting, I got to wear the dress and see the embellishments on the dress!

aoui fitting

I love my dress!

And they just noted the length of the train I wanted. –they gave out an excess of fabric should I want a longer train…they did not scrimp on fabric. Di nila ako tinipid!

left: that would be me talking to Aoui (pixelated the photo as she was in work mode that day) and right: I am probably doing the chicken dance. lols.

left: that would be me talking to Aoui (pixelated the photo as she was in work mode that day) and right: I am probably doing the chicken dance. lols.

They took the time to ask me if I was comfortable, asked me to move around, sit, wave, spin.. etc. to be sure that the fit was perfect. We even chatted for quite a bit! And best of all they did all these even if I was 30 mins late on my appointment.-I think I was the last client of the day. Di nila ako minadali.

At the last fitting, I just hurriedly fit and claimed the dress. I remember it was raining so hard that day and I was late again. They packed my dress in a waterproof garment bag to help us on our way and I was really, really grateful that Aoui and her team thought of that. I got soaked that day but my dress was pristine. Thank heavens.

On the day of the wedding, I did a few “glam” shots with Aoui’s creation. The dress looks beautiful on the photos, and absolutely more stunning in real life.

All these photos are grabbed from Aoui’s Facebook page.

Look at how tiny my waist looks like. Aoui did that magic!

Best of all I did get to dance!

I danced to Ed Sheeran’s- Thinking out loud and Walk the Moon’s- Shut up and Dance that are both not exactly a slow dance type of song! I did all that arm movements and fancy footwork. Best of all I did not feel constrained and worried that I may bust a seam or any unwanted exposure, the fit was perfect.

The only stolen photo of us dancing to thinking out loud.-all the other photos we have right now is blurry.

The only stolen photo of us dancing to thinking out loud.-all the other photos we have right now is blurry.

And after the dance you can just see that I worked up a sweat and beaming a very much relived and glad-I-made-it smile. And yes that’s Matti by my side.

All smiles! I pulled off the dance! (that would be Matti on the left)

All smiles! I pulled off the dance! (that would be Matti on the left)

You have been more than my designer but a friend to me Aoui. Thank you so much.

5outof5Rating 6 out of 5. (exceeded our expectations) The way Aoui treats clients is like being a friend who cares to listen and does what’s best for you, even if it means that she would not profit that much. She is very thorough and meticulous with her dresses and she does not scrimp on fabric or quality! To her, clients are not just a source of income but also a new connection, a new friend. I like that with her you can feel at ease and be sure that you would look regal in every way!

See Aoui’s creations for yourself! here is a link to Aoui Regala Atelier.

*Mention that you are a reader of Pam’s blog to her and she would be sure to help you out.

hoodwinked : SM’s Our Home marking up prices before sale

I have told you before that we are looking for house stuff. And that most of our weekends are spent on being in our place, appliance stores and furniture looking.

Pottery Barn & Crate & Barrel photos from the internet

Pottery Barn & Crate & Barrel photos from the internet

We looked at Crate and Barrel and Pottery Barn, the international furniture and home stores that are new here in the Philippines. Loving most of their pieces but sadly the budget cannot accommodate our desires so we searched for an alternative that lead us to SM’s Our Home.

Our home photo taken from their Fb page (June 2015)

Our home photo taken from their Fb page (June 2015)

When I tell you that it is an alternative, it really is. See the example below, Looks familiar?

seeing double? both pictures are taken from their facebook page

seeing double? both pictures are taken from their facebook page.

The difference of course lies in the price, brand and quality. But for a cheaper doppelganger, why not right? Or so we thought then.

So, we came back once or twice a month to check/scout for the furniture/s we like that are within the budget. Measured and listed them down.

Since we got the house sorted out and ready for furniture, we got their quotation just this Oct 4, 2015 (Sunday).

the quotation they gave us-you can see all the items we picked out.

the quotation they gave us – you can see all the items we picked out. (sofa, bed frame and mattress)

*At the bottom of their quotation, they have this fine print that states that prices are subject to change without prior notice. -to be fair this is pretty standard.

This is the Charles 3-seater sofa that is priced at 17,950.

this sofa was part of their display last June. It goes for 19,950.00php back then

This three seater sofa and ottoman was part of their display last June. It goes for 19,950.00php back then. Photo taken from Our Home’s Facebook page.

We picked it because it would fit out tiny place.

Next piece of furniture we picked out was this (Gunther) bed frame. This was the one we have been eyeing for a long time now.

The main reason why we are so keen on this? storage under the bedframe

The main reason why we are so keen on this? Storage space under the bed. (this photo was taken last Sept 6, 2015)

It looks exactly like that when I last saw it. We were told that it was the last piece.

Garret bedframe with storage

Garret bedframe with storage. Taken from Our Home’s Facebook page. (October 2015)

Its price is listed on the quote above. 27,950.00php for the bed frame not bad right?

We are planned to get it on Oct 17, 2015 (Saturday). Right in time for their SM prestige sale (Oct 16-18, 2015). -For more details see Manila Shopper’s Post.

So, it was expected that the price we saw before is going down due to the discount extended for SM prestige card.

Come Oct 12, 2015 (Monday), just a week after we last saw the bed. Kei went to Our Home again. To see if there is any new item that will be added on the sale on the weekend of Oct 16-18, 2015.

And of course to check on the bed again as it was the last piece.

Sadly this happened. Just whoa!

sudden spike in price!

sudden spike in price! the difference is 2,000.00php

They upped the price. Even with the discount you get with the sale, its price would be almost the same (its a bit higher) with its regular price.

Why you do this Our Home?

So, to clarify. We asked to talk to the Our Home staff and manager about the price difference. They can only say “sorry, we are just following orders.” While I don’t blame them, I felt like we got duped.

That is the thing with SM’s Our Home sale. It is misleading. Gets you to think you saved, but truth is you just got cheated. False advertising.

Sale price wasn’t always the best price. Apparently, Our Home marks-up prices before a sale is on. — selling products at regular prices, but calling it a sale.  Again false advertising.
-And because stubbornly, I still wanted to get more details regarding the sale in case we can still “salvage” (may natitira pa ba sa listahan na pwede natin bilhin na di naman kami nadaya sa presyo?) the items we listed down. Sayang naman pagod ko…Off to their Facebook page I go.

And pop goes the weasel. Negative comments abound.

These were taken from their Facebook page.

These were taken from their Facebook page.

We are actually scared to push through buying any furniture piece from Our Home. Bargain hunters beware.

Time to scram. We lost a good chunk of time looking at their pieces, but good thing is that we found this out before any purchase was made.

Bye! the bunnies are running away. (Part of a photo from Sjaek)

Bye! the bunnies are running away. (Part of a photo from Sjaek, taken from the internet)

Sure, maybe décor and accessories like fake flowers and vases. But then again we can just save a bit more and get better décor items from Pottery Barn and Crate&Barrel.

But no furniture buying from Our Home, in the end we choose/decided to get local woodworkers to just custom make our furniture pieces. At least we get an honest quote, natural wood, our money’s worth and helped support small time carpenters.

My prenup dress adventures: the roundup

I’ve been real busy. Sorry for being missing in action for the past few days.

But I got a lot of messages/questions about my prenup gowns. I was planning on sharing these after my prenup shoot but maybe the time is now.

So, I will let you see my dresses and as an added bonus: I will also share my list of my trusted seamstresses!

I am having a small victory right now.

After all the frustrations and tears from my hell of a dammed/fail red dress, I finally have another red dress that is like a gazillion times better than the bloody hell of a dress. Wanna see what the fail/bloody hell of a dress looks like? see it in my past post here.

While I was moping about the fail one, mom suggested we salvage it by getting it altered. After all she knew a good seamstress. (Ate Helen who made most of my mum’s cocktail dresses and the one who did a superb job on my lilac goddess gown) So, off we went.

Sharing a photo of my absolutely, gorgeous lilac gown. This was made by Ate Helen. Perfection in just one fitting. This is why we are her “suki” (a long standing customer).

my lilac gown

my Lilac gown that was made by Ate Helen from AyenMil Fashion Boutique

But there was a catch. Ate Helen is fully booked. There is simply no snippet of time that Ate Helen could do the extensive alteration. So, she begged off. We understood.

In case you are wondering about Ate Helen’s contact details? here they are:

Tell them Pam referred you. Ate Helen calls me shobe. =)

Tell them Pam referred you. Ate Helen calls me shobe. =)

So I was dragging myself out and moping along the way all the while telling mum that all is lost on the failed dress. When mum stopped walking to admire two gowns on display (a gold and orchid colored gown) and even ask for the shop owner.

the gowns on display

the exact gowns on display that caught our attention- photo taken from Tita Nedy

Apparently they were made by the owner of the shop and also a seamstress named Nedy. She made the gowns and is willing to sell it to me for a low price after seeing the first red dress that was a maximum fail. I thought the orchid gown was divine. But I already have a lilac gown and getting the orchid gown would be a repetition of color. Mum asked if she be willing to fix the dress, to which she simply said, save you the trouble. Get another one done.

I told her I really wanted a red asymmetrical dress, and that I liked what she did with the orchid gown. If she can make me one in red, it would be perfect. While taking my measurements she asked me about the fail gown. I told her the story, she chuckled. And said I will make you one that will make you forget the fail one. I smiled and hoped for the best.

After a three weeks. I was back in her shop twirling around happily in my new red dress! She made a wonderful concoction of satin and soft tulle in a bright candy apple red color with dainty sequin flowers! She thought the color would be perfect with my personality and skin tone. Tita Nedy was just like a fairy godmother, my dress was freaking fabulous! (I now call her tita Nedy)

red copy

my candy apple red gown made by Tita Nedy! -I really, really love it!

Only after the first and only fitting did I know, she makes curtains and dresses. Go figure.

The dress would need a few embellishment adjustments, and would be sewn the next day and my dress will be ready to wear!  Awesome-ness.

Loving my red gown like I do? I am sharing Tita Nedy’s contact details:

Tell them I sent you and send my love to Tita Nedy! =)

Tell them Pam sent you and send my love to Tita Nedy! =)

I may have also told you about the champagne gown that features the hunchback of Notre Dame look. I am scrapping that gown off too.

It is now replaced with the ivory-that-turned-out-to-be-champagne dress. This is made by Ysabelle.

ruffled and sexy!

ruffled and sexy! precise tailoring from Auntie Chai-Yong of Ysabelle

This is supposed to be my non beaded ivory-dance-dress that turned out to be the champagne-cocktail-dress. Not to be used at the wedding dance, only for prenup shoot or party purposes. Honestly, even if they did not get the color right, I love this dress. More of the back story here.

prepare your Chinese speaking skills and head on over! Look for Auntie Chai-Yong and tell them Pam sent you. =)

prepare your Chinese speaking skills and head on over! Look for Auntie Chai-Yong and tell them Pam sent you. =)

Last and definitely not the least. My white RTW gown. Remember the time I was frustrated with looking for seamstresses? And opted to look for RTW but because of my petite size I was getting no luck? The post is here.

Well, I managed to snag one beautiful RTW gown! While it was far from the styles I usually wear. *I dislike garterized backs, and I think halters make my shoulders look huge. But this gown managed to work on me. It fits comfortably and it looks unique.

this white gown is rtw!

this white gown is rtw!

I got this from Giovanna at 168 mall. (Sorry I lost the paper bag with the store’s details but I am sure that the store is on the third floor.)

So, those are my Prenup gowns. I will be mixing them with my existing dresses for the shoot.

*All my reviews, opinions, and other stuff expressed here are my own and based on my own experience. This is not a sponsored post, I paid for all the gowns including all the fail gown/s mentioned. I withheld the contact details of the fail/bad seamstresses and instead posted the good ones I encountered. Positive vibes!

**Love my gowns? These will be worn on my prenup. That means apart from fittings, I will wear these once. And these will be kept at my closet. If you are interested in my gowns, I am willing to sell them after my prenup shoot. -For reference I am (depending on the brand) a size 2 to 6, usually fits extra small to medium. pure hazel love

I have been a contact lens user for more than a decade now. Normally, I wear the soft clear ones.

I am loyal to the Air Optix brand as their lens are breathable and non drying therefore their lenses are very comfy that I sometimes forget I am wearing contacts! They are also perfect for my sensitive eyes. No joke.

So, when colored contact lenses (graded ones) came out in the  market, I was very much tempted to try them out… but due to my fear of eye infection/s (yes, I learned my lesson the hard way) and questionable (Korean contact lenses) brands, I opted not to and go on wearing my usual clear contact lenses.

But not today. Because the kind folks of Air Optix Philippines sent me this for trial!

over the moon

Over the moon! My favorite contact lenses now comes in colored versions!

I was going to keep this to use on my prenup shoot come September, But I got impatient and wanted to wear them. Right away.

Or should I say right after I disposed last month’s contact lenses.

mine!

Mine! =)

Unlike the usual reviews I see on the internet where bloggers wear colored lenses just because, I wear contact lenses because I need them (badly) and also because I am vain. hahahahaha! At least I am honest!

They gave me Pure hazel to try.

I was told that it is a subtle color. How does it look like you say?

look at the color!

look at the color and pattern! (the lenses in my contact lens case)

It looks like this! Pretty right?! And that is my contact lens case look like that my friends. It is because I use hydrogen peroxide-based lens care solution to clean, disinfect and store my contact lenses. Rather that the usual contact lens solution.

I told you I have sensitive eyes and a history of eye infection. That is why I am wary of anything that concerns my eyes.

When worn the lenses tend to blend in. It is very natural looking.

can you see it?

Pardon my tiny eyes, can you see it?

Cloudy vision due to the colored lens? Nope. Comfort for a whole day of wear? yes! I wore my lenses by 10 in the morning and took them off by 9 in the evening. Noticeable color? Not really eye catching but its there.

Like what they said, it is subtle, I like the fact that it does not make me look artificial.

I feel pretty! Oh so pretty!

*Sings* I feel pretty! Oh so pretty!

In this photo the color is much more noticeable. Kind of gives definition to the eyes.

It has that ooomph, I am not wearing any make up in these photos but you can see that my eyes brightened up my face!

Will definitely go get another pair of this one when September comes along.  My favorite lenses just got trendier! Yey!
