life of a cuddlebit

my random ramblings

all the little things…

I have been postponing most of the small stuff on wedding planning, thinking it would be easy. IT WAS NOT.

Like the music. So I have been scouring my playlist for wedding worthy songs and ended up deleting a lot.  I thought I got it covered. Apparently the there are songs that seem wedding worthy, until you listen/read its lyrics. Googled some, grabbed some from wedding blogs and even enlisted the help of my music-loving-blogging-bestie Matti! *Much Thanks! See his wedding song suggestions here!*

So continuing with the music, I also thought the wedding dance was a walk in the park. I WAS SO WRONG!  I cannot for the life of me, dance. The last time I danced (Shakira’s Objection – Tango) was second year college. Almost a decade ago.

But, Ed Sheeran’s THINKING OUT LOUD  music video made me want to try dancing again. Maybe a rumba/tango/foxtrot would be nice and lively.  (and not like everybody else who danced waltz?!) On the first try with Kei, I was reminded again that I was not born to dance. (So yeah, I take back what I said about waltz. Maybe that is all I can do?) I need dance lessons. ASAP.

On the premise of dancing, how do I dance wearing a mermaid gown?  Do I get another dress to wear specifically for dancing?  So, if I am shelling out again for a dance dress, what about the bridal shower dress? Do I buy two white dresses? Or buy one and use it twice?  So far here are what I liked… For the dance dress:

H&M

I think this will do.

PROS: I love the look! It looks simple, lightweight, my legs can move freely!  CONS: No padding, and I am in between sizes so, sizes 32 or 34 does not feel quite right. (Hello armpit fat!) Alteration is a must. Lastly, this kind of looks like a “waltz” type of dress, since the fabric of this dress is a bit stiff. So will that be waltz for final answer? Or do I get another dress made specifically for the wedding dance?

For the bridal shower dress: I like these dresses, but still never brought any because I am still undecided.

And another one from H&M that looks like the “for dancing dress” I had in mind.

If only H&M made this black dress to white, It would be the perfect two-in-one dress for me.

sadly

How I wish you came in white.

But, sadly they did not. So, I am still looking for the dresses. What about the shoes? Do I buy flats or still wear my fabulous wedding shoe? It does not stop there, more of little questions running through my head… fabric, flowers, decor…etc. Decisions, decisions….sigh… drives me nuts.
